Brazilian low-Fe and medium-Fe manganese ore is in shortages at China’s Tianjin and Lianyungang ports, SMM learned from traders at ports.

SHANGHAI, Jul. 20 (SMM) –Brazilian low-Fe and medium-Fe manganese ore is in shortages at China’s Tianjin and Lianyungang ports, SMM learned from traders at ports.

Shipments, originally due to arrive recently, have been delayed and will not arrive until next month. This left the ore in shortfall.

BHP kept offers of Australian manganese ore (Mn45.5-46%, Fe5%, lump) for shipment to China in August at USD 3.2/mtu (CIF), and USD 2.65/mtu (CIF) for South African semi carbonate manganese ore (Mn37.5, Fe5%, lump), unchanged from June, traders at ports said.
